Short Breakdown of the Gallbladder Cleanse
Preparation
To prepare for the gallbladder cleanse, you’ll need to gather several key ingredients: raw organic apple cider vinegar (ACV), Epsom salt, extra virgin olive oil, distilled water, and a variety of healthy, plant-based foods.
Days 1 to 4
For the first four days, mix two tablespoons of ACV with a gallon of distilled water and prepare three gallons in total. Drink this mixture throughout each day. Stick to a healthy diet that includes three small meals, like avocado, nuts, and fruits.
Day 5, during the day
On the fifth day, consume either the gallbladder cleanse soup or juice described in the recipe section below.
Day 5, at night
In the evening of the fifth day, do the flush by drinking a tablespoon of Epsom salt mixed with water. About an hour and a half later, drink 3/4 cup of organic extra virgin olive oil.
Day 6
Throughout the final day, drink plenty of purified water with fresh lemon juice. For breakfast, have fruit; for lunch, finish the remaining gallbladder cleanse soup, and for dinner, have a salad with a light protein.
What Does the Gallbladder Do?
The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ located on the right side of the body, beneath the liver. It stores bile, a yellow-green fluid made by the liver that aids in breaking down fats from food. When you eat, the gallbladder releases bile through ducts into the upper part of the small intestine. This organ plays a vital role in collaboration with the liver to remove toxins from your body.
Causes & Symptoms of Gallstones
Gallstones typically form from hardened cholesterol mixed with bile. When these stones grow big enough, they can block the bile ducts, disrupting the bile’s flow and irritating the gallbladder. Common symptoms include jaundice (yellowing of the skin), fever with chills, indigestion, and gallbladder pain that can be felt on the upper-right side of the abdomen and the right shoulder. Sometimes, the severity of gallstones necessitates surgical removal.
Risk factors for developing gallstones include obesity, diabetes, pregnancy, insufficient good cholesterol (HDL), rapid weight loss, poor diet, Crohn’s disease, blood disorders, and family history.
Gallbladder Cleanse Protocol
A gallbladder cleanse offers a safe, natural way to improve gallbladder and liver function. This two-phase, five-day protocol includes a four-day gallbladder cleanse diet followed by a flush on the fifth day. The magnesium sulfate in Epsom salt and the olive oil facilitates flushing the gallbladder and stimulating liver detoxification.
Ingredients
Essential ingredients for the cleanse include raw, organic apple cider vinegar, Epsom salt, extra virgin olive oil, distilled water, and nutritious, plant-based foods.
Recommended Diet
Stick to an organic, plant-based diet. Eat vegetables, fruits, herbal teas, fresh fruit juice, nuts, and seeds. Throughout the cleanse, hydrate with purified water. Avoid dairy, meat, fatty and processed foods, alcohol, tobacco, fried, and spicy foods. For an added boost, you can enhance your ACV water with herbal liver-support formulas like Liver Health.
Instructions
Before starting the cleanse, avoid any beauty and home products containing harmful chemicals for at least one week.
Days 1 to 4
In the morning, mix two tablespoons of raw organic ACV with one gallon of distilled water, shake, and refrigerate. Consume three small meals and two snacks daily and stay hydrated with the ACV and water mix. Eat slowly and chew thoroughly to aid digestion.
Adding liver-detoxifying herbs such as turmeric, milk thistle, and dandelion, or spices like cinnamon can be beneficial.
Breakfast
Start your day with an eight-ounce glass of the ACV and water mix. Pair it with a small bowl of fresh fruit like watermelon, grapefruit, plums, papaya, kiwi, cherries, pears, apples, or figs.
Snacks
Choose a type of nut or seed and enjoy a handful as a snack, along with 12 ounces of the ACV and water mix. Good options include sunflower seeds, Brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and walnuts.
Lunch
At noon, consume either the gallbladder cleanse soup or juice (recipes below).
Gallbladder Cleanse Soup
Ingredients:
– 1 cup organic broccoli
– 1 organic beet
– 2 organic carrots
– 2 bay leaves
– 10 organic garlic cloves
– 1/2 organic onion
– 1/4 organic lemon
– 1 tablespoon Himalayan crystal salt
Instructions: Wash and finely chop the ingredients. Add them to a pot with 32 ounces of distilled or purified water, bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Gallbladder Cleanse Juice
Ingredients:
– 3 organic carrots (washed and peeled)
– 2 organic apples (washed and cut)
– 1 organic beet (washed and peeled)
– 6 organic kale leaves
– 1/2 organic lemon (washed and peeled)
– 1/2-inch ginger root
Instructions: Use an extractor to juice all the ingredients.
Dinner
For dinner, you can have an avocado seasoned with lemon and sea salt or a handful of walnuts. You may also opt to fast during the afternoon, drinking only the ACV and water mix.
Day 5: The Flush
On the fifth day, conduct the gallbladder flush in the evening before bed. First, mix one tablespoon of Epsom salt with eight ounces of warm, purified water and drink it around 7 p.m. Expect a prompt bowel movement within 20 minutes. Then, between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., drink six ounces of organic cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. Tips for consumption include refrigerating the oil beforehand and mixing it with freshly squeezed grapefruit, orange, or lemon juice.
Getting Ready for Bed
Immediately after drinking the oil, lie on your right side with your knees pulled up to your stomach for 30 minutes, then lie flat and try to sleep. Cramping and nausea are common signs of detoxification; walk around if needed, and allow vomiting if it happens naturally.
The Day After
Upon waking, take six capsules of Oxy-Powder to aid in flushing out toxins in your bowel movements. Eat fruit for breakfast, the remaining gallbladder cleanse soup for lunch, and a salad with light protein for dinner. Keep drinking distilled or purified water with fresh lemon juice throughout the day.

The Best Ways to Avoid Gallstones
To avoid gallstones, adopt a diet rich in healthy fats and high-fiber foods. Research shows that a plant-based diet reduces the risk of gallstones. Limit refined carbohydrates and sugars. If you’re overweight, safely lose weight and maintain it through healthy eating and regular physical activity since obesity is a known risk factor. Consider natural remedies like vitamin C supplements to reduce your risk.
Precautions & Potential Side Effects
Consult your healthcare professional before starting the cleanse if you have health concerns or take medications. Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting. A “healing crisis,” making you temporarily feel worse as toxins leave your body, might occur. Symptoms can include nausea, headaches, fatigue, and general malaise. Remember that your body is detoxifying and you will soon feel better.
Points to Remember
The gallbladder is crucial for bile storage, aiding the digestion of fats. Adults over 40, especially those who are overweight or have cholesterol concerns, are prone to gallstones and might benefit from a cleanse. However, the cleanse is beneficial for almost everyone due to environmental toxin exposure.
We recommend our Liver Cleanse Program as part of a healthy lifestyle to support both the liver and gallbladder.
The gallbladder cleanse consists of four days of a plant-based diet followed by a flush involving Epsom salt and water, then organic olive oil to help remove toxins. Many who complete the cleanse report feeling significantly better.
